December 15, 2024
Get your clients to enroll by this date for a plan start date of January 1, 2025. Acting now means no gaps in coverage.
January 15, 2025
This is the final deadline for open enrollment. Clients who enroll December 16, 2024, through January 15, 2025, will have coverage starting February 1, 2025.
If your clients miss the standard open enrollment deadlines, their options for individual plan coverage are very limited. They may still enroll if they meet other specific conditions.
American Indian and Alaska Native
Members of federally recognized tribes can enroll in coverage at any time or change health plans once a month.
Special enrollment
Some life events allow your clients to enroll in a health plan outside of open enrollment, such as job loss, birth, adoption, marriage, and more. They’ll have 60 days from the event to complete their application and supporting documentation.
