LifeWise Group Plans Soon Available in Clark County

Starting in early 2024, LifeWise Health Plan of Washington is offering a group PPO plan in Clark County (southwest Washington). This will expand fully insured business through several new association groups. We anticipate new members coming on board near the end of the first quarter of 2024.

Here’s some frequently asked questions to help explain the new plan for Clark County.

 

How is the new LifeWise Health Plan of Washington (LWWA) group plan different from LWWA Individual Plans?

The new LWWA group plan has a unique provider website and uses Availity for secure tools (not Evolent). It also has its own unique ID card and its own medical policies.

 

Does the group plan have its own medical and payment policies?

The payment policies are the same as LWWA Individual Plans. The medical policies are unique to LWWA group plans. Both links are available through the Availity LWWA Payer Space under the Resources tab.

 

Which provider network is used for the new LWWA group plan?

The network is LifeWise Health Plan of Washington Preferred.

 

What does the ID card look like?

An example of the ID card for this plan is included on page 6 of the ID Card Guide.

 

Are there specific provider forms for the new LWWA group plan?

Yes, the group plan has its own branded forms which are available both on the provider website and through the Availity LWWA Payer Space under Resources > Forms.

The payer ID for professional and institutional claims is 00430.

If I’m already registered for 835 (electronic remittance advice) and EFT (electronic funds transfer), do I also need to register for the new LWWA group plan?

If you’re already registered for 835 and EFT, you don’t need to register for the new LWWA group plan. Registration for 835 and EFT is for all LifeWise payments. It excludes our Individual and shared administration plans.
